VOCATIONAL TRAINING

We are excited to offer Vocational Training Programs. We offer the following courses:

  • Commercial Truck Driving

  • Aviation Drone Operation

These courses provide the participants with specific skills that will provide opportunities for viable employment, as well as career paths that ensure the participants a quality of life and ultimately becoming productive members of society.

In addition to the extensive core vocational program training, we incorporate educational workshops on two valuable career readiness components:

Job Readiness & Career Support

GETTING THE JOB

Job readiness training programs prepare participants to get, keep and excel at a new job. Basic employment readiness skills include effective communication, problem solving, resume building, and interviewing.

KEEPING THE JOB

Job readiness training programs also help participants develop good work habits that facilitate their ongoing success. Workshops typically include lectures, discussions and role-playing exercises.

READY NOW RE-ENTRY & HEALTHY BEGINNINGS

Ready Now Re-Entry and Healthy Beginnings Program for Ex-Offenders are devoted to helping prepare men and women to leave prison with a positive outlook and ready to succeed. We offer mentoring, life-skills training, marriage and parenting classes. These programs teach personal responsibility, the value of education and hard work, and care for people and their property, so that prisoners are prepared to thrive in their communities after release. The Foundation and Goals of this Program are:

  • Partnership Support - Help Finding a place to live, food to eat, clothing to wear, transportation, medical care, and job opportunities. To address these needs we use our partners and resources within our network to aid formerly incarcerated people with transitional housing and assistance to help put them on a path to success.

  • Second Chances - Once a sentence is paid in full, we believe everyone deserves a second chance to contribute to his or her community. But there is the second prison in our nation; prisoners pay their debt to society, yet their punishment continues as they face legal, social, and many other kinds of barriers that inhibit their growth and potential; given the chance to prove themselves a changed man or woman they can prove to be a positive and welcomed member of the community.
